![]() It's fair to say that Johnny Silverhand's ties to the red and blue pills go way further back than Cyberpunk 2077. It's a small detail, but a clever one that pays homage to the role that made him into who he is today. It's a nice little touch that Keanu's character - or, more specifically, the amount of Keanu's character you're exposed to - is tied to choosing between a red or blue pill. However, you won't live in blissful ignorance for long, and as the story proceeds, you'll be given more and more opportunities to free the demon and embrace Silverhand. Morpheus then gives him a choice between two pills, one red and one blue, that carry drastically different side effects. You'll need to take the omega blockers at this point to progress the story, as Silverhand, well. In the scene, The Matrix s main character Neo, played by John Wick s legendary Keanu Reeves, approaches an all-knowing man named Morpheus to gain some insight into the world around him. If he chooses the red pill, he’ll learn the truth about the real world and can escape the Matrix. Taking the blue pill means staying in the Matrix, a fake world made by machines. The late Hugh Dane, the actor behind security guard Hank who died in 2018, can be seen dressed as Dorpheus, the supposed brother of Morpheus who presents Dwight with a red pill and a blue pill. Boasting Keanu Reeves' famous swagger, this guy is a bit of a dick, but one you can't help wanting to hear more from. In the Matrix Pill Scene, Morpheus offers Neo a choice between a blue pill and a red pill. Once Misty leaves the room, rockerboy Johnny Silverhand will make his entrance. The latter, however, are in a red container, and can be ingested to speed things up - "free the demon, so to speak." The dilemma Morpheus presents Neo is essentially Platos Allegory of the Cave framed in the context of a science fiction dystopia. The former come in a blue container, and are designed to slow down the rate at which your new guest - Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves himself - assumes influence over your thoughts and actions. The Matrixs famous red pill/blue pill scene is widely considered a key moment in the films philosophy. Misty pulls out two different kinds of medication - omega blockers and pseudoendotrizine. Here are photos of my prototype along with snapshots of the scene and one pointing out the distinct 3 blue pills.Related: Digital Goodies, In-Game Rewards, And The Best Place To Buy Cyberpunk 2077 (Sponsored) I believe I will reprint the pills in properly dyed resin for a more uniform look. I sanded, clear coated, then bushed on red/blue alcohol ink, and then cleared again. The clearance is just enough that the pills don't touch the lid when pressing it closed, but can't fall out of their recesses either so they stay in place.Įverything was printed in translucent resin as that's what I already had in my vat. One of them is for two pills, and the other is for 6 which I now believe is what the set prop had. I ordered a few of these pill cases and once they arrived, took measurements and modeled the pills and then made two inserts for the case. Based off this info, I realized I needed to make my own lol. The terms refer to a scene in the 1999 film The Matrix. ![]() ![]() On top of that, we never hear the pills rattle around in the movie yet all the ones I found to buy, had the pills laying around loosely, so even if they just edited the rattling out in post, within the movie it was perceived that the pills were in fact held in place to some extent. Red and blue capsule pills, like the ones shown in The Matrix (1999) The terms ' red pill ' and ' blue pill ' refer to a choice between the willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth, by taking the red pill, or remaining in contented ignorance with the blue pill. I recorded the scene, went frame by frame, took snapshots, enlarged, and then tried running it through an AI Upscaling program (which didn't improve it much honestly), but gave enough evidence backing up what I perceived. ![]() After doing some research and searching around, I found a few good options, however, during my research of the scene, Morpheus' pill case seems to have not two pills.but SIX in it.
